David Silva Biography

David Josue Jimenez Silva, better known by the name of David Silva was born on January 8, 1986 in Arguineguin, Las Palmas. Spanish nationality players can play on the wing and sometimes also as a second striker.
He often compared to Pablo Aimar, the player he replaced his role in Valencia.
Silva started his first professional debut in the 2004-2005 season with second division club SD Eibar, on loan from Valencia. There he played in the league 35 times and scored 5 goals. In the following season, he was again loaned to Celta de Vigo, where he played in 34 games and scored 4 goals. In the 2006-2007 season, he finally returned to Valencia.
Silva's debut at the senior Spanish national team in a friendly match against Romania on 15 November 2006 Romania won 1-0. On August 22, 2007, Silva scored his first goal for Spain second in a 3-2 victory over Greece in a friendly match.
